Biography

Hunter is a native of Midland, Texas – oil and gas have always been a part of life. He enjoys applying creative solutions using technology and agile methodology to solve complex problems.

Hunter lives in Dallas with his wife, Rachel, and their two young sons. Whenever life permits, you will find him on a golf course.

Years in the industry

Experience Prior to PFS

Hunter began his career as a field landman working in areas stretching from East Texas to the Permian Basin. He has over 10 years of in-house experience with E&P companies, primarily operating in the Permian. Most recently, Hunter directed the land department for a private equity-funded mineral and royalty acquisition company, which ran a large-scale acquisition program through to divestiture in 2021.

What I do for PFS

Hunter is the Vice President of Asset Optimization. He leverages his experience in-house with operating companies and mineral acquisition firms to deliver successful outcomes to Paramount clients in land administration, division order/owner relations, and mineral management.
